Horvan Kant was born in Königsberg, East Prussia in 1798 and was killed in 1831 for killing the mayor's brother-in-law. Horvan reawakened as an Immortal and, later met Immortal, Friedrich Mandelbaum who taught him about what he was and how to live.

Kant was a sociopath, a killer, and thief. He sometimes killed just for the thrill of it. Later in his life, he moved to the United States and continued his life of crime, living under the name of Harry Kant. He became a very successful Immortal and, in the 1990s, according to the Watchers data, he had killed ten Immortals from 1990 to 1995.

Kant confronts Coltec

In 1996, he was robbing a Chinese restaurant in Seacouver when he sensed the presence of another Immortal; Coltec. Kant advised Coltec not to interfere, but Coltec challenged him. Kant and Coltec went outside the restaurant and dueled. Kant was defeated, losing his head, which released a Dark Quickening absorbed by Coltec.

Coltec took Kant`s jacket and hand gun, went back in the restaurant, took the money, and shot the surprised owner. Kant was the first Immortal Coltec killed after Bryce Korland, whom Coltec killed in 1958. Kant's death at the hands of Coltec triggered a Dark Quickening.
