A mortal school teacher, she appeared only in a flashback sequence in The Cross of St Antoine episode.
The Immortal Durgan encountered Miss Welsley collecting money for a school fund, Durgan didn't give her anything, but after speaking to MacLeod, became interested in what use reading and writing might be to him. He asked his new acquaintance MacLeod how one could make money with education.
That night he went to see Miss Welsley, and asked her to teach him read and write, but when she turned to get him a primer, he attacked and strangled her, in order to steal the school funds she had been collecting.
