A Watcher, he was with the organization for 30 years before he retired. Educated by Buddhist monks, he was skilled in martial arts, though his cover was that of a farmer. When he retired in September of 1789, the Watcher Tribunal arranged for the purchase of a small farm and livestock in his native village for him in gratitude for his years of service.
He observed May-Ling Shen from 1774 to 1789. Prior to that, he was assigned to Zhang Shi from 17759 - 1773.
